Payment, Penalties & Follow-Up

Do not ignore a parking notice.

The original CPIS parking-information page advises that unpaid private-property notices may be subject to additional administrative charges, collection activity and legal recovery steps where those remedies are authorized by the applicable agreement, property documents and law.

Where the applicable notice provides a 15-day payment period, the current CPIS program terms state that the penalty may increase by 50% after that period. Always rely on the specific dates and terms printed on your notice.

Important: Consequences can vary by property and notice type. Municipal tickets follow the municipality’s own payment and dispute process and should be handled according to the instructions printed on the municipal notice.
